    Evening baton runs are always the best. With people finished work there are always good crowds and Elgin town centre feel like its come to a stop to cheer on the baton bearers.

    "My dad was first baton bearer, on day 20, at 88 years old he loved the police helping him along. Especially Lynn who looked after him so well. Big it up for police.

    "I'm going to be a volunteer VIP driver so its runs in the family the games!!!

    "Dad has done so much volunteer work for the village of Alford over 50 years, not only is he justice of the peace, he's also binary president of Alford Transport Museum and Alford Valley Railway."

    Catriona has battled through cerebral palsy to learn to walk, ride a bike and ski.

    According to the people that nominated her, she's completed the expedition challenge of the silver Duke of Edinburgh, has learned cricket and has become a youth leader in her local youth club.

    Former Scottish Cycling President Alasdair Maclennan mounts a bike to carry the baton! We're hearing reports from those who got up close that he's not a 'real Scot' in the kilt department. We couldn't possibly comment!

    You still have time to see the relay today. At around 17:10 BST the baton will be in Forres and it will arrive in Elgin around 18:15.
