    Kay Mackay, who was getting a great response from the crowds in Stornoway, passed the baton on to Jim Warnock who set off to more huge cheers.

    So the baton is basically going round in a continuous loop in the centre of Stornoway. A good idea as it means all the crowds are concentrated in the same place, and the glorious sunshine continues to shine brightly.

    Luckily she's slowed from her usual pace to a light jog, allowing the crowds lining the streets to get a good look at the baton.

    For 15 years, Christine was the secretary to the Carloway Community Association.

    She's now given up this opportunity, but continues to volunteer through the local gardeners club.

    Hundreds of people are out on the streets of Stornoway to see the Queen's Baton Relay.

    It's a lovely night for it and baton bearer John Mitchell is running his leg of the journey to loud cheers of encouragement from crowds lining the route.

    Greeted by a pipe band and our first baton bearer is dancing along with an improvised jig. Hundreds of local people at the roadside clapping her on.

    The baton has travelled from the Butt of Lewis for the evening celebrations in Stornoway's Perceval Square.

    1500m runner Eilidh Mackenzie, one of the most well-known athletes from the Western Isles, will be the final baton bearer of the day.
