    That's all from Queen's Baton Relay Live for today.

    Once again the turnout has been fantastic all day, building to a peak in Paisley when the crowds were five deep in places.

    Pop star and actress Clare Grogan carried the baton in Johnstone, and BBC Radio Scotland's Shereen Nanjiani took a turn in Erskine.

    However, the relay is for everyone and our picture of the day shows Lauren McCready getting some support from a very special constable.

    Slight baton malfunction.

    The LED illuminating the Queen's message went out, and the baton was removed for a quick battery change.

    In the meantime a local woman, Angie McGuire, who was parading her own homemade torch, offered her services, much to the amusement of the crowd.

    A relit baton soon appeared and the convoy continued to its final destination, the Lagoon leisure centre.

    The evening celebrations are now in full swing.

    Paisley has given the baton a great welcome today. Even the academics at the University of the West of Scotland left their desks to join in the fun.

    Eighty-five-year-old Bill is today's oldest baton bearer. He is vice-chair of Glenburn community council and, in the words of those who nominated him, "his attitude and commitment are an inspiration to all, especially the young".

    Kenneth Bain received a very warm reception from the Paisley crowd.

    Kenneth is a member of Team Scotland's hockey squad, and also competed at the 2010 Games in Delhi.

    Eighty-one-year-old Nessie was a foster carer who eventually adopted three of the children she looked after. She also helped with the Boys' Brigade and was a swimming coach for the City of Glasgow club.
