Nicola Keppie is a gifted swimmer who trains with the Temple Disability Swimming Club.
She's represented Scotland in the Special Olympics three times - winning gold, silver and bronze in Glasgow in 2005, gold and silver in Leicester four years later and gold in Bath last year.
Nicola is travelling with the baton on a boat along the Forth and Clyde canal.
Ian Bowman carried the baton along the footpath at the Forth and Clyde canal. We are getting closer to Glasgow with every step.
We are still having fun in the rain in Kirkintilloch as the streets are lined will baton bearer supporters.
Nicole Tucker and Craig Walker posed for photographs as the baton whistled through the town.
Smile, it's the baton! Amy McDowall is surrounded by her supporters before her stint with the baton.
The McLean family - Lynne, Alistair and Heather - emailed about the relay this morning.
"Well done to our daughter Iona McLean, who carried the baton this morning in Bearsden," the said.
"A double gold medallist in table tennis at the Special Olympics in Bath last year, you'd think she would be used to the limelight - but she was totally overwhelmed, but loved every minute.
"Huge thanks to her police escort, and particularly Ian, who was a star with her."
Here is Iona, on the right, handing the baton to Rebecca O'Toole, whose mum Deborah also emailed to say they were "overwhelmed by the number of people who turned out to welcome the baton through Hillfoot".
Juliet is a keen sprinter and has represented her club, her school and Team Glasgow.
The people who nominated Juliet say "her commitment to the sport is unfaltering and conveys a positive attitude to those around her, especially to the younger pupils at Lenzie Academy whom look up to her considerably as an active schools captain."
Jennifer Guthrie has also been tweeting: "#bbcbatonrelay congratulations to Theresa Gault who carried the baton on Milgnavie Rd. Well done"
Calum Ritchie is looking ahead at the relay later: "Very proud of Laura Ritchie who is carrying the baton through Lenzie today #bbcbatonrelay #BatonRelay @Glasgow2014"
Jim Sweeney has emailed to praise the baton relay's police escort. He says:
"I have watched you every day online constantly from early morning till last thing at night, and the coverage has been amazing. I will be lost when it stops.
"I think it is only correct that you inform the viewers that the people escorting the baton all over Scotland are serving officers of Police Scotland.
"I didn't realise this until today, and well done to them. They have got into the mood and are so friendly - just like real people! They are a credit to Police Scotland".
Jennifer Murray tweets: "Just got to carry the baton! It's was amazing, thank you to everyone in Torrance that cheered me on! #bbcbatonrelay, external"
Gillian Dodds hands the baton to Beth Kneafsey as the relay takes place in Kirkintilloch.
Are you there? Email or tweet #bbcbcatonrelay, external with your pictures and stories.
The relay has now arrived in Kirkintilloch, where Skye Howie was first baton bearer.
Skye handed over to Daniel McLauchlan.
Debra Barclay is the final baton bearer in a rainy Twechar.
Sit back and enjoy the drive as we travel to the next stop on the route, Kirkintilloch.
Day 32 of the relay saw the baton travel around North Ayrshire. Karen Kelly was a baton bearer that day who jokingly pretended she wouldn't hand it back.
Karen has got in touch via email to share her experience of the event.
"I'm 42 now and it's been my dream to run with the baton since I was eight. Finally, on the 15th July in Kilbirnie, I did! I grinned for the entire day and I think this picture just sums up how meaningful it was for me to run with the Queen's baton.
"I would also like to tell everyone how utterly fabulous Police Scotland were in providing the security around the baton. Every single detail was slick and well-managed. The escort were really friendly and entered into the spirit of it all, but were uber-vigilant.
"Thank you so much to every single person involved in the baton relay. You've made my dream come true better than I could ever imagine. The best day!"
There is still lots of time if you want to watch the baton relay today as it travels through East Dunbartonshrie. Just remember the umbrella!
Here is the rough timings for the rest of the day.
15:00 BST Kirkintilloch
17:40 BST Lenzie
17:55 BST Bishopbriggs
While we wait for the baton relay to resume, why not try our Queen's Baton Relay quiz.
The baton relay is currently making a brief stop at Twechar Healthy Living Centre before we head to Kirkintilloch for the next section of the relay.
You can follow the baton via GPS tracker on the Glasgow 2014 website, external as we continue the journey through East Dunbartonshire.
Ian Stevenson swapped the traditional police escort for a guard of Roman legionaries as he carried the baton through Twechar.
The village sits close to the remains of the Antonine Wall, which marked the northernmost edge of the Roman empire. Given today's weather, it's no wonder they turned back.
Ian has been involved in youth work for over half a century. He formed football team Eastercraigs Boys' Club in 1960 and Lenzie Youth Club 20 years later. Both clubs are still going strong today.
Seventy-seven-year-old Ian continues to coach afterschool football and is "revered within the local community", according to those who nominated him.
A stunning photograph from our friends at Glasgow 2014 as Einir MacDonald takes the baton off-road during the relay in Lennoxtown earlier.
Erin was selected to carry the baton for her passion for sport, particularly netball.
Last year she coached her local netball team to their best ever performance as they finished third in a local league.
The people who nominated Erin say: "She has radically transformed the school team into one of the most popular clubs."
It is fast becoming a baton tradition as Angela Amato received a guard of honour. She was the final baton bearer in Milton of Campsie.
Alan Hill passes the baton James Knowles as the relay route passed through Lennoxtown. As we mentioned earlier Alan is a founding member of East Kilbride Athletics Club.
Keep up! Wendy Lawrence picks up the pace as she runs with the baton in Lennoxtown.
