    Business Minister Paul Wheelhouse says innovation makes a vital contribution to Scotland's economy.

    Mr Wheelhouse says there is still a gap between Scotland's investment in research and development and the rest of the UK and the EU.

    However Scotland has a very educated workforce, says the minister.

    He calls on more businesses to use innovation to drive productivity growth.
