    The SNP MSP says studies show that flexible workers are less likely to see alternative employment.

    She says highly qualified people who are finding it difficult to find a job due to childcare responsibilities may find it easier with a flexible working package and this would increase skills in the country.

    Ms Martin says workers often fear that asking for flexible working would put them at a disadvantage in the work place.

    The SNP MSP says it can be even more difficult for men to ask.

    Most working parents in Scotland are unhappy with the balance between their home and work life, according to a poll by a group of voluntary organisations.

    The study suggested only 12% feel their work-life balance is "just right".

    Less than a quarter (22%) think they have "the right balance of time and money for their family to thrive".

    The poll was carried out by Family Friendly Working Scotland group, which works with the Scottish government.

    The organisation said inflexible work arrangements were often to blame, with many parents saying they missed out on special family moments.

    These included attending school plays or putting their children to bed.

    The majority of patients who have diabetes are not receiving all the health tests they should.

    Diabetes Scotland, external has also called on the Scottish government to deliver on its promise to improve education after diagnosis.

    Health Minister Aileen Campbell has said health boards and diabetes teams work hard to stress the importance of attending health checks and education courses.

    The charity's Claire Fleming told BBC Scotland that educating people on how to live with the condition is key.

    Scottish Conservative MSP Donald Cameron asks what action the Scottish Government is taking to ensure that people with diabetes receive regular monitoring of their condition. 

    The first minister says this week marked World Diabetes Day.

    Ms Sturgeon says new quarterly monitoring was introduced this year as part of the Diabetes Improvement Plan.

    Mr Cameron says the Scottish government's strategy on monitoring is not good enough.

    The first minister disagrees saying the quarterly monitoring will improve the situation.

    Almost a quarter of Scottish children who contacted Childline about bullying in the past year were concerned with online abuse, new figures show.

    The charity said 201 of the 873 counselling sessions it arranged were connected to cyber bullying.

    Children as young as seven told Childline counsellors they were being tormented by malicious and hurtful messages.

    Across the UK, the charity counselled 4,541 children about online bullying.

    That 2015/2016 figure represented an 88% increase from 2,410 in 2011/12.

    At least half of the alcohol sold in Scotland does not meet impending minimum pricing legislation, a survey suggests.

    More than two-thirds (69%) of the spirits currently sold fall below the 50p per unit threshold, according to analysts Nielsen.

    They assessed till sales data from nearly 1,200 Scottish stores.

    The Scottish government has said it plans to bring in minimum price legislation "as soon as possible".

    According to Nielsen's survey more than two-thirds of beer (67%) was priced below the minimum 50p per unit threshold, followed by 51% of cider.

    SNP MSP Kenneth Gibson asks what the Scottish Government's response is to the recent survey by Nielsen that indicates that 69% of spirits sold in Scotland fall below a minimum unit price of 50p. 

    The first minister says minimum unit pricing is precisely designed to target cheap, strong alcohol.

    Ms Sturgeon says it is a life saving policy.

    She adds the only block to the policy is if the Scotch Whisky Association appeals against the recent ruling.
