    He say the Scottish government has sought to build consensus around keeping Scotland and the UK in the single market.

    Mr Brown says he "recognises and respects the voice of those Scots that did vote to leave the EU."

    Mr Tomkins says the interests of the financial services in Glasgow and Edinburgh are the same as those in London.

    He says he is all in favour of differentiated deals, not nation to nation, but sector to sector.

    The Tory MSP says the PM said the guiding principle is to ensure no new barriers are created between Scotland and the UK.

    SNP MSP Richard Lochhead asks if the Scottish Conservative position is still membership of the single market.

    Mr Tomkins says the Scottish Conservative position is the same as the what the prime minister wants, which is the greatest possible involvement in the single market.
