    Tory MSP Liam Kerr will now lead a member's debate on the proposed UK legilsation the Awards for Valour (Protection) Bill.

    The Awards for Valour (Protection) Bill was given its first reading in the House of Commons on 29 June 2016.

    The summary of the bill declares it to be "Abill to prohibit the wearing or public display, by a person not entitled to do so, of medals or insignia awarded for valour, with the intent to deceive".

    SNP MSP Linda Fabiani asks if the first minister is aware of the issues of early onset dementia and its impact on families.

    The first minister says the diagnosis of early onset dementia or any dementia is devastating, but early onset dementia brings other specific problems.

    Labour MSP Colyn Smith says there is a huge gap between the government's pledge on dementia and what is happening on the ground.

    Ms Sturgeon says as well as the above inflation increase in funding for the NHS there is also a funding commitment to help dementia services be delivered.

    She says this commitment of post diagnostic support does not occur in many other countries.

    Thousands of dementia patients are missing out on vital support they should be receiving from the NHS, a BBC Scotland investigation found in September.

    The scheme, which promised support for one year after diagnosis of dementia, was launched three years ago.

    But the BBC found patients' prospects of getting help varied dramatically depending on where they lived.

    The Scottish government said Scotland was the only part of the UK to offer such support.

    Scottish Conservative MSP Donald Cameron asks what action the Scottish government is taking to support people who have been newly-diagnosed with dementia. 

    Mr Cameron says recent figures showed only two in five patients received post diagnosis support.

    Ms Sturgeon agrees there is much more to do on this issue.

    She says Scotland is well ahead of most countries on dealing with dementia.

    Scottish Labour MSP Anas Sarwar asks how many refugees the Scottish government expects to welcome in 2017.

    The first minister says Scotland has already received 1,300 refugees and they continue to arrive.

    She explains why she can't give an exact figure but says the government is committed to take as many refugees as it can.

    Mr Sarwar details some of Trump's executive orders, including the outright ban on Syrian refugees.

    He says we should recognise the 1.8m people in the UK who have signed the petition to say Trump should not get a state visit.

    The first minister says she endorses those comments.

    She says she deeply and profoundly disagrees with Donald Trump's executive orders

    Ms Sturgeon says banning people on grounds of faith of country of origin is "wholly morally wrong".

    She says she hopes the UK government will think again about the state visit for Donald Trump while these bans remain in place.

    MSPs on the public audit committee voiced worries about police finances

    MSPs have voiced fears Scotland's police force is "an organisation in crisis" over a £200m financial gap.

    Members on the public audit committee questioned Auditor General Caroline Gardner about policing budgets.

    She said updated projections suggested Police Scotland and the Scottish Police Authority would run a cumulative deficit of almost £200m by 2021.

    SNP MSP Alex Neil called this "totally unacceptable" and a sign of "an organisation in crisis" over finance.

    Audit Scotland issued a highly critical report of Scotland's policing finances for the third year running in December.

    Mr Ross says says Alex Neil said the organisation is in crisis.

    The UK government is planning to close a further 16 jobcentres in Scotland.

    In December, it was announced that half of Glasgow's 16 jobcentres would shutto save money and to reflect a rise in the use of online and phone services.

    The Department for Work and Pensions said it expected affected employees to move to other sites, external, adding that any redundancies would be "very small".

    Scottish Employability Minister Jamie Hepburn said Scotland was being disproportionately affected.

    Union officials said the wider announcement would mean that more than one in 10 jobcentres in Scotland, England and Wales would shut, putting thousands of staff jobs at risk.
