Scottish Lib Dem MSP Willie Rennie says the SNP motion is significant by what it does not say and the minister was very disciplined in not mentioning independence.

Mr Rennie says the Tory amendment is full of irony as Brexit has been caused by a split in its party over Europe.

He says the Labour amendment is marked by its length in an attempt to hide "total and utter confusion".

Mr Rennie says there are reports that the SNP are only going to take an independent Scotland into the EEA.

So he says all three parties are anti EU.
