Technical issues delayed the flight that had been due to depart at midday and will have a knock-on delay on the return leg.
Aurigny's first flight to the Isle of Man from Guernsey as part of the new air bridge link has been delayed by technical issues.
The plane was supposed to leave at 12:00 BST and the new departure time is not yet known.
The return leg is due to arrive just before 16:00, but will likely also be delayed as a result.
The endangered species was born on the island as part of a European breeding programme.

The air bridge, as it's known, has been agreed because both islands have had no recorded cases of Covid-19 for many weeks, meaning passengers won't have to isolate, and a similar approach to dealing with the virus.
The Aurigny aircraft will leave Guernsey at 12:00, while the return, which is fully-booked with Isle of Man residents, will touch down at 16:00.
The airport fire service will lay on a water arch for the flight and Visit Guernsey will be at the airport to welcome the first incoming passengers.
They will be given locally branded chocolates and visitor guides.
People planning to use the route to Guernsey must have travel insurance, the health minister says.
