    Global rap superstar 50 Cent has said a teacher rapping to his pupils has "got some flow".

    50 Cent shared a video of teacher Christian Foley with the 37.9m people who like his Facebook page, external.

    Mr Foley, who goes by the rap name Just Muz, said: "It's been absolutely crazy, I mean 50 Cent!"  

    He posted the video on his Facebook page, external and said it was "inside footage of the greatest job in the world".

    50 Cent shot to fame in 2003 with his debut album Get Rich or Die Tryin' and has sold more than 30 million albums worldwide.

    A tree in St Helier has been decorated with paper art to mark the start of an exhibition at the St Helier town hall called Paper Dialogues.

    It is the first time the paper cutting art of Xiaoguang Qiao and Karen Bit Vejle has been shown in the British Isles.

    Jersey have selected 15-year-old Harrison Carlyon in their squad for the World Cricket League Division Four tournament in Los Angeles.

    The schoolboy, who is an all-rounder, will become the youngest player to represent the island in an international match if he plays.

    He is one of two changes to the squad which won World Cricket League Five, the other change sees Elliot Miles who come in for all-rounder Ben Stevens who misses out on the trip due to ill health, while Carlyon replaces Corne Bodenstein.

    A Jersey rapper who was filmed performing a freestyle rap of English and maths terms in a London classroom described the experience as "absolutely crazy".

    Christian "Just Muz" Foley is a poet in residence for a number of schools and teaches children about the spoken word.

    Rapper 50 Cent shared the video saying he "actually got some flow". Mr Foley said "this is getting slightly weird now, but thanks 50 Cent".

    A video showing Christian "Just Muz" Foley, who grew up in Jersey, doing a freestyle rap in a London classroom has gone viral.

    The video shows him putting a number of English and Maths terms into a freestyle rap that has been featured by media around the world and even shared by rapper 50 Cent.

    A Christmas bonus scheme aimed at pensioners in Jersey could be reintroduced today if a proposal by Social Security Minister Deputy Susie Pinel is approved, external.

    The scheme was scrapped last year as part of a range of cost cutting measures by Deputy Pinel but she has brought it back as a means tested benefit - it was previously available to anyone over 65.

    The minister has agreed £436,000 of funding for the benefit that she says will cover pensioners, people with a significant disability, and full-time informal carers.

    American rapper 50 Cent praised Jersey's Christian Foley, also known as Just Muz, after a video of him doing a freestyle rap in a classroom went viral.

    50 Cent shared the video on his Facebook page, external with the introduction: "He actually got some flow".

    This is the second time Christian Foley has gone viral with a video of him rapping in a classroom where he is labelled as a teacher. 

    Mr Foley said: "I'm not actually a teacher, I'm a poet in residence for a number of schools in London and go round teaching them about the spoken word."

    Transgender pupils in Jersey's mixed state schools are able to wear the uniform of the gender they identify with, according to the education minister, external.

    Deputy Rod Bryans was responding to a question by Deputy Montfort Tadier of Reform Jersey who was asking what choice was given to pupils who do not identify with their birth gender.

    He said in single sex schools the school would work with individual pupils to "ensure their needs are met".

    The States of Jersey Police say they have received a number of calls about someone dressed in a clown costume around Les Quennevais.

    Officers could not find the person to "establish their intentions" but said they were aware of a Facebook group set up with the intention of scaring people in the island.

    A spokesperson said: "We would urge these people to think of the distress you could cause to other people and would like to warn anyone thinking of joining in that they could be committing criminal offences and could be arrested for their behaviour."

    Guernsey's Scrutiny Committee is "dissatisfied and frustrated" at Education's apparent unwillingness to appear at a public hearing.

    Scrutiny intended to hold a series of monthly public hearings with each of the six Principal Committees to establish how each was planning on achieving savings targets of 13% over the next three years.

    But the President of Education, Sport and Culture, Deputy Paul Le Pelley, has declined the invitation, leaving Deputy Chris Green very disappointed.
