La Collette recycling centre in Jersey has been shortlisted for an award.
The project has been listed alongside 10 other private-public sector centres across the UK.
The States of Jersey Department of Infrastructure said it will now be presenting a full submission to the National Recycling Awards, with a result expected by the end of June.

The States of Jersey has launched a campaign to raise awareness of the symptoms of Bowel Cancer.
"There is no need to be embarrassed about seeing their GP if they notice any changes in their bowel habits", a spokeswoman said.
"It’s important that people get to know what bowel habits are normal for them so they can spot any changes."
The campaign is being supported by Jersey Cancer Relief.

The States of Jersey Treasury has announced an amnesty on false declarations, saying it wouldn't prosecute anyone who came forward to admit they hadn't filled in their tax returns properly.
Under what it calls the tax disclosure opportunity, the tax office says it won't take action against anyone who comes forward and admits their return was not entirely accurate.
However, you could still have to pay a fee for late payments of anything you currently owe, the States said.

Guernsey's Sebastian Priaulx, son of triple World Touring Car champion Andy, is top of the Ginetta Junior Championship after the first weekend after winning a race at Brands Hatch.
Sebastian is in his second season in the series as he aims to follow in his father's footsteps.
Priaulx Snr, 42, continues to race, recently competing at the Daytona 24-hour race in Florida.

A "fairly large quantity" of petrol was stolen from an outbuilding located next to the oil quarry at Chouet headland, say Guernsey Police.
Officers say the theft took place between 25-28 March and the outbuilding was broken into again between on 31 March or 1 April.
They have appealed for witnesses or anyone with any information to come forward.

From today planning permission granted in Jersey will last for three years, as opposed to five unless development has started or an extension is granted.
Deputy Steve Luce said the new rules were to encourage more developments and to stop "land banking".
The new guidance will only apply to permissions granted from 3 April.

Flights are returning to normal in the islands after earlier disruption caused by fog.
However, Aurigny's Guernsey-Bristol flight has been cancelled along with Guernsey's mail plane.
Skies will be cloudy overnight with some patchy rain at times.
Cloud will lower to give some rather murky conditions at times. Minimum Temperature: 9C (48F).
Cloud will gradually start to break up through the morning with some bright spells by the afternoon.
It'll be mostly dry, although some patchy light rain is possible at first. Maximum Temperature: 13C (55F).

Guernsey Fire and Rescue Service has said it will be providing carbon monoxide (CO) detectors to residents as part of an ongoing community safety initiative.
Smoke detectors have been provided since the initiative was launched in 2008.
"You can’t see it, taste it or smell it, but carbon monoxide can kill quickly, with little warning," a spokesman said.
"CO detectors should not, however, be seen as a substitute for proper installation and maintenance of household appliances."

Repairs are being done to the concrete capping at Jersey's West Park Pool.
The damage was caused by the winter storms and general wear and tear.
Tony Andrews said there will be more work during the summer to deal with the seaweed that gathers on the walls.
The park is due to reopen by Easter weekend.

An unfair dismissal claim by a Jersey taxi driver has been rejected by a tribunal.
Erin Bisson claimed Red Cabs had sacked her unfairly, and discriminated against her because she was originally a man, who was going though gender reassignment.
The Employment and Discrimination Tribunal ruled that Ms Bisson had never actually been an employee of the company, and had in fact submitted a tax return stating clearly that she was self employed.

An employment lawyer says Guernsey's new population law, which comes into effect today, represents a "huge step forward" for businesses when recruiting.
It was approved by deputies last week, representing a shift from a system of housing licences to employment permits.
Elaine Gray said the new system provides much needed clarity.

Work will begin on new traffic lights at a junction on the Esplanade in Jersey where a motorcyclist died three years ago.
Following an inquest last year, Jersey Police made several recommendations to the infrastructure department about the junction.

Guernsey Under-21 coach Angus McKay said he was "a little bit disappointed" despite retaining the Ambassadeur Bowl with a 2-0 win over their Jersey counterparts at Springfield.
Paris Pereira and substitute Danny Hale got the goals to make it three victories in a row for the greens.
"I think we deserved to win - it's a great result and I thought we were the better team," McKay told BBC Radio Guernsey. "It sounds crazy but I'm actually a little bit disappointed with how we played, because I think we could play a lot better."
Jersey Under-21 coach Martin Cassidy said: "Our final ball, especially from wide areas, was poor. We need to be smarter and make sure we take our chances in the last third."

A local Airbnb host feels Guernsey can benefit from the app, which allows visitors to stay in your home.
Guernsey has more than 50 properties on the app.
Helen Litchfield has been letting out rooms using Airbnb for four years.

St Peter Port parish in Guernsey is calling for candidates to come forward as douzeniers.
The parish is inviting nominations following the resignation of one of its members last year.
The deadline is 16:00 this afternoon.
Senior Constable Dennis Le Moignan said there had "not been much interest so-far", and he encouraged the public to stand.

A woman who fell 200ft from Grosnez cliffs in Jersey is in a stable condition, emergency services have said.
She was airlifted to the General Hospital by helicopter on Saturday.
