I didn't want to change my bike position as I'm doing a race tomorrow. I thought I'd sacrifice time in the transition but I still did well on my bike, so happy days.

  6. Gotland: The Viking islandpublished at 14:49 British Summer Time 25 June 2017

Gotland has a very long history, particularly when it comes to trade and commerce. It is a major trading port in the Baltic sea and was an important meeting place during the Viking era.

Gotland's history goes back further than that. Human remains found on the island date back to middle Neolithic seal hunters. The Ajvide Settlement shows the island has been occupied since prehistory.

It is also home to some of the largest hoards of silver treasure ever discovered. This includes the Spillings hoard featuring about 14,000 coins, mostly from Islamic countries, captured by Viking raiders.

  7. Jersey women lost after 'errors and missed chances'published at 14:36 British Summer Time 25 June 2017

Jersey women's football head coach, Daniel Seviour says the team "deserved to win" the match they lost 3-2 to the Isle of Wight.

He said it was disappointing but praised the team for doing everything right on the pitch, he said it was just a case of things not going their way.

Seviour says the team will be the same for the next game against Gibraltar.

    Quote Message

We just need to say 'do what we did there today'. The chances that were there on another day could have been six or seven for us at the back of the net.

    Daniel Seviour, Jersey women's coach

Seviour praised the Isle of Wight team who he said pushed hard and were physical but said it just didn't go Jersey's way.

Jersey player/coach Jodie Botterill says they could have won it and for the next game they will just try to make sure the ball hits the back of the net.

    Quote Message

We need to go over the game, decide what didn't work, what did work. We've got a couple of training sessions to work on and hopefully we will make it right for the next game.
