Incredibly windy on the coast where the triathlon is due to start soon here in Gotland.

I wonder if they'll be able to include the swimming leg or if it would just be too dangerous and rough for some of the less experienced competitors.

Having said that we’ll start with some non-Island Games sports news, but it’s great news!

Jersey's top tennis player Scott Clayton and his doubles partner Jonny O'Mara have been handed a wildcard entry to play at this summer'sWimbledon.

Clayton, who believes he'll become the first Jersey man ever to play at the world-famous event, has been given a place in the main doubles draw by tournament organisers.

    Quote Message

I'm so grateful to the All England Club for giving us this opportunity to compete at the biggest and best tournament in tennis. It shows us that we've been... all those weeks of grinding away, I'm over the moon. When I got the phone call I couldn't quite believe it. This is something you dream about as a kid and always tell people I'm going to play there one day but you're never sure if you will

    Scott Clayton

Clayton added: “I played there as a junior but to be there as a pro player on the tour... it's incredible. As happy as I am we still have a tennis match to prepare for and we aren't there to make up numbers, so the next couple of weeks will be a great experience but one we are obviously taking very seriously.”

His fellow islander Guernsey’s Heather Watson was one of seven Britons to be given a wildcard for the singles.
