A teenager has admitted killing a man in a Hertfordshire town centre - five days before he was due to stand trial.
The 17-year-old boy changed his plea to admit the murder of Billy Dove when he appeared at St Albans Crown Court.
Mr Dove, 21, from Hemel Hempstead, died from a stab wound following trouble in the town centre on 6 November last year.
The teenager, who cannot be named for legal reasons, will be sentenced on 29 June.
Charlie Samson, 18, of St Agnells Lane, Hemel Hempstead, also changed his plea to admit affray in relation to the incident.
Both are due to be sentenced by Judge Gullick on 29 June, once pre-sentence reports have been prepared.
