A30 in Cornwall to close nine times in January for works
- Published
Drivers have been warned of delays amid A30 closures in Cornwall as work continues to upgrade a single carriageway between two roundabouts.
Road improvements on eight miles (13km) of the A30 between Chiverton and Carland Cross include three new bridges.
Construction bosses said there would be seven overnight closures and two full weekend closures in January.
Drivers were warned to "allow extra time".
This month's closures, between Scorrier and Boxheater, follow on from periods of disruption last year.
From Monday to Wednesday the road near Maranzanvose will close from 20:00 GMT to 06:00.
This would make way for work on "surfacing, central reservation and concrete wall preparation".
This would be followed by a weekend closure from Friday at 20:00 until 15 January at 06:00, for concrete wall preparation near Chiverton, as well as "drainage and maintenance work" across the new A30 route.
National Highways warned there would be further overnight closures between 22 to 26 January, and another full weekend closure from 26 to 29 January.
Diversions will be in place, external, National Highways said, warning drivers to plan ahead and "allow extra time" for journeys.
