More Cornwall A30 closures due in January
- Published
Motorists are being warned of further closures to the A30 in Cornwall in January.
The road will be closed overnight between Boxheater and Scorrier on 22 to 23 January, with the night-time closure expanded from Scorrier to Carland Cross from 24 to 26 January.
The A30 will then be closed between Boxheater and Scorrier for the rest of the weekend from 27 January at 06:00 GMT until 29 January at 06:00.
Diversion routes will be in place.
The closures are to allow on-going work to dual a section of the road between Carland Cross and Chiverton Cross.
Neil Winter, National Highways' senior project manager for the A30 scheme, said: "We have a number of closures planned in the coming weeks as we move towards opening the new dual carriageway later this year.
"After this latest phase of work, motorists won't see any difference to their journeys but we appreciate the closures will have an impact.
"We thank people in advance for their patience as we move towards completing this massive road upgrade for Cornwall."
National Highways said the new A30 dual carriageway was scheduled to be open at the end of this winter.
