IT professor says proving code ownership a 'challenge'

An IT professor has said proving allegations that IT expert Marcus Hutchins created software that harvests bank details would be a "fundamental challenge".

Andy Phippen, professor of social responsibility in IT at Plymouth University, said it was "extremely unusual" for someone to have created an entire piece of software on their own.
