Police are searching for a driver after a car hit an 11-year-boy in Cheltenham.

The boy was left with facial injuries after being struck by the white car while walking home on Tommy Taylors Lane at 13:50 BST on 27 September.

The driver did stop and get out of his vehicle, but he had left the scene before the boy's parents arrived.

Gloucestershire Police are appealing for the driver to come forward and witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage to contact them.

The vehicle was being driven from the direction of Pittville Park and the driver is described as being aged between 40 and 50 and with short hair.
