Christian Bagley died in hospital after being stabbed in his arm and back

Police hunting the killer of a man in Hereford have launched a fresh appeal for information.

Christian Bagley, 30, was found with stab wounds to his arm and back on 21 June and later died in hospital.

Officers believe he was attacked at about 22:50 BST on a path leading under the Hunderton Bridge, near the Great Western Way.

A 29-year-old man arrested on Friday on suspicion of murder has been released without charge.

Det Supt Adrian McGee, of West Mercia Police, said Mr Bagley had just paid a visit to his young daughter on Father's Day.

"Christian spent his last moments trying to save his own life by knocking on doors and calling for help," he said.

"Sadly he was unable to do this and his family will feel the effects for the rest of their lives.

"We now ask for anyone who may have information to come forward to police and help bring those responsible for his death to justice."
