A man and a woman have admitted stealing £75,000 from a vulnerable man over a period of five years.

Ann Park, 56, pleaded guilty at Hull Crown Court to theft and transferring and possessing criminal property, according to Humberside Police.

At the same hearing, on Monday 18 December, Graham Bradley, 56, pleaded guilty to possessing and transferring criminal property.

The pair, both of Woodlands Road in Hull, will be sentenced on 26 January.

'Position of trust'

Helen Shackleton, from Humberside Police, said both Park and Bradley were "deceptive individuals who conned a vulnerable man out of a large amount of money".

"Park, especially, was in a position of trust caring for the victim and claimed the money to be a gift from the victim for her assistance," she added.

"But it was clear she had identified a vulnerable man who she could steal from to benefit herself, as well as Bradley."

Ms Shackleton said she hoped the case would "serve as a reminder to people that we will act against those who target vulnerable people, and ensure they are dealt with accordingly to prevent them preying on anyone else".
