Dale Cregan: CCTV images show killer handing himself in to police

CCTV images of the moment Dale Cregan handed himself in to police minutes after shooting dead two officers have been released by Greater Manchester Police.

The footage shows him arriving at Hyde police station and putting his hands up to the counter clerk.

During his trial, the prosecution told the court that Cregan, who was also wanted by police in connection with the murders of father and son Mark and David Short, told the counter clerk: "I dropped the gun at the scene and I've murdered two police officers."
