Counter-terrorism officers made arrests on Tuesday in Manchester

Three people arrested on suspicion of terror offences linked to Syria have been released without charge.

Two men, aged 24 and 18, from Levenshulme in Manchester and a 21-year-old woman from Trafford were released after being arrested on Tuesday by counter-terrorism officers.

The three people were arrested alongside a fourth person, Jamshed Javeed, 29, also of Levenshulme.

Mr Javeed is due to appear before the Old Bailey on 4 April.

He is charged with the intention of assisting others to commit acts of terrorism and engaging in conduct in preparation for giving effect to his intention.

Mr Javeed, of Cringle Road, appeared at London's Westminster Magistrates' Court on Thursday.
