Bury murder inquiry launched after stabbed teen dies

A murder investigation has been launched after a teenager stabbed in the arm two weeks ago died.
The 18-year-old was left in a critical condition following the attack in Abingdon Avenue, Whitefield, Bury, on the afternoon of 28 March.
Greater Manchester Police earlier confirmed he had died and a post-mortem examination was due to take place.
Four people including three teenagers were previously charged with attempted murder and affray.
A 16-year-old boy has been charged with assault, affray and possession of an offensive weapon while two other boys, aged 16 and 17, were charged with affray and possession of an offensive weapon.
None of the three can be named due to their ages.
Charlie Harrison, 20, of Mather Avenue was charged with affray and possession of an offensive weapon and remanded in custody.
A police spokesman said: "Charges will be updated in due course now a murder investigation has been launched."
Det Insp Charlotte Whalley said; "Firstly, our thoughts are with the victim's loved ones and friends at this devastating time.
"Our investigation two weeks on now from the incident means we are now treating this as murder with updates to be made in due course.
"We have made several arrests and we are still appealing to the public."
