Heatwave: Why is the East of England so hot and dry?

The East of England could be on track for the driest summer on record, according to a meteorologist.

Dan Holley has been looking at why it has been so dry in the region recently, and how it compares to previous years.

He said the region had just recorded its driest July.

"The concern is, if we have a relatively dry winter this year, there may be more issues next summer," he said.
