On-the-run emu found safe and well in Oxfordshire

An emu that went missing in Oxfordshire almost a week ago has been found.
The five-month-old emu was spotted by a farmer in his field in south Oxfordshire and has been returned home.
The missing bird, named Edward, had prompted a police hunt and a Rod Hull hashtag on Twitter - a reference to the entertainer who had an emu puppet.
Last night Thames Valley Police tweeted: "Edward the missing EMU is home safe and well ! Local farmer saw Edward in his field."
The emu was missing for six days from his home in the Wheatley area. On Twitter, one man asked runners to "look out for a big bird, doing 40 top speed".
