One-year-old suffers facial injury in Swindon dog attack
- Published
A one-year-old child suffered a facial injury when a "dangerously out of control" dog bit them.
A mother was playing with her child in Buckhurst Field, Swindon, at about 17:00 GMT on 18 October, when a black lurcher-type dog ran up to them and bit the child on the face.
When she tried to speak to the dog's owner he was aggressive towards her, Wiltshire Police said.
The dog then ran off and is believed to have bitten another dog, said police.
It is believed the dog is called Spike and his owner is described as being aged about 35-years-old, tall, of heavy build, with brown hair and missing two front teeth.
Police are asking witnesses to contact them.
