Fluorescent jackets for Chichester homeless
- Published
High-visibility jackets are to be given to homeless people in a West Sussex city so they can be seen by motorists when they cross busy roads at night.
Local businesses in Chichester have joined forces to provide the jackets amid an appeal from police for drivers to be alert on a section of the A27.
It follows two fatal collisions earlier this month in which pedestrians died.
Police have spoken to homeless people about crossing the road between the Whyke and Stockbridge roundabouts.
