Health and Social Care Bill: NHS bill becomes law

The government's NHS bill for England finally became law in the last week despite months of arguments and protests and calls for it to be dropped.

Health Secretary Andrew Lansley faced opposition from the Lib Dems and even some Conservatives and had to make major changes to the first draft.
