Police reforms: ACPO and Superintendents' Association

The government is making major changes to the police service looking at pay, conditions, roles, the private sector and the election of dozens of Police and Crime Commissioners to office.

Some say officers form part of the last great unreformed public service, but off-duty officers have already marched through the streets to show their opposition.

Giles Dilnot spoke to ACPO president Sir Hugh Orde, Irene Curtis of the Police Superintendents' Association, and Tony McNulty, a former Labour policing minister.
