UKIP's Nigel Farage on Eastleigh and European elections
UKIP's leader has not had time to celebrate his party's second place in the Eastleigh by-election, as when asked what he had been drinking, he answered: "sadly, not enough".
Nigel Farage said he had only slept for two hours between overnight and breakfast TV interviews but he intended to "go and catch up" after speaking with Jo Coburn on the Daily Politics.
He told her Thursday's "tremor" at the Hampshire by-election would see the party "cause an earthquake" as he predicted big gains in the 2014 European elections and a "realistic chance of topping the poll".
He was also asked why he had not stood at the by-election and whether he could have won.
