Lib Dems Nick Clegg and Vince Cable share pint in pub

The Liberal Democrat leader and business secretary attracted a media scrum when they put on a show of unity in a London pub.

Nick Clegg and Vince Cable made their first public appearance together after polling by a former Lib Dem peer showed the party would do better with Mr Cable as leader.

The BBC's Norman Smith said the event looked "sheepishly like a couple on a first date" when he described the scenes to Jo Coburn on the Daily Politics.
