When and where high winds will hit Scotland

A yellow warning for high winds has been issued for the whole of Scotland.

Gusts of 50mph to 60mph are expected, up to 70mph in the north west, with storm force gusts up to 80mph over the Northern Isles and far north.

Showers will be heavy at times, turning wintry over the hills of the Highlands and Grampian through Thursday.
