Meeting over Aberdeen Journals printing jobs threat
- Published
Union officials are to meet management at Aberdeen Journals over the newspaper publisher's plan to move its printing operation in the city to Dundee.
Owner DC Thomson wants to centralise printing of titles, including the Press and Journal and Evening Express, at a new £25m printworks.
It has launched a consultation on redundancies, with 46 jobs in Aberdeen at risk.
The Unite union said it is opposed to the plan.
As part of DC Thomson's proposal, editorial and commercial staff would remain in Aberdeen.
