Borders General Hospital road junction review pursued

Councillors are to debate a bid to seek action to try to reduce the accident rate outside the Borders General Hospital near Melrose.
Scottish Borders Council leader David Parker has lodged a motion about the junction to the hospital site.
The layout was recently modified but there have been another two accidents in the area this year.
Mr Parker wants Transport Scotland to hold a review looking at a "more significant engineering solution".
According to statistics attached to his motion there have been 18 injury accidents at the location since 2001.
Mr Parker believes further work on the Melrose bypass could help to tackle the situation.
