A ward at Borders General Hospital remains closed to admissions due to an outbreak of the winter sickness bug.

Last week saw 15 patients and four members of staff affected by the norovirus at the site near Melrose.

Strict hygiene precautions remain in place at the BGH - along with restrictions on visiting.

Members of the public have been asked not to attend any health facility if they have suffered symptoms of the virus in the previous 48 hours.
