Friars Walk: Robot inspects 'suspicious vehicle' in Newport

A robotic device has been used by police to assess a "suspicious vehicle" in Newport.

Gwent Police was called to the vehicle parked by Friars Walk on Thursday, as well as a second suspicious item near the George Street bridge.

The shopping centre has been evacuated, roads have been closed and a safety cordon has been put in place, which has led to road closures.
