Pontypridd man with osteoporosis 'addicted to painkillers'

A man who became addicted to painkillers after suffering from osteoporosis says taking the drugs makes the world "a better place".

Robert Rees, 58, from Pontypridd in Rhondda Cynon Taff, said pain dictates his life, adding: "I don't like admitting it but I'm an addict."

It comes as a study of opioid prescribing in Wales showed strong prescriptions jumped by 300% between 2005 and 2015.
