Pen y Fan: Watch paralysed Jon Hobbs reach top of mountain

Seventeen years after he was paralysed from the waist down in a diving accident in Spain, Jon Hobbs has made it to the top of one of Wales' most popular mountains.

The 39-year-old from Pontyclun, Rhondda Cynon Taf, was pulled to the peak of Pen y Fan in Bannau Brycheiniog National Park in an adapted wheelchair by a team of helpers.

"It wasn't easy, but we got up quicker than we thought," said Jon, who was raising money for the charity Spinal Research.

"And the view from the top when the weather cleared was amazing."
