'Daredevil' robotic lion stars in circus

A robotic lion has joined the circus.

Ion the robotic lion is starring in Paolo's Circus in Newquay.

The robot can walk, run and jump, and the circus said it took about 11 months to develop the build.

The circus said Ion had "established himself as something of a daredevil" and could be seen leaping from table to table, through a hoop and over fire in the shows.
