Cows crossing the road halt Tour of Britain

The Tour of Britain was temporarily halted when cows crossed the road during the final stage of the race.

As the peloton cycled along a country road, marshals on motorbikes stopped riders as the animals made their way across, accompanied by a farmer and a person riding a horse.

But the break was short-lived and the riders were on their way again some 30 seconds later.

The race finished in Cardiff saw former Tour de France winner Geraint Thomas wave an emotional goodbye to cycling.
