Flood waters destroyed a bridge as Super Typhoon Ragasa hit Taiwan on Tuesday.

At least 14 people died and dozens more are missing after a barrier lake burst its banks in the eastern county of Hualien, according to Taiwan's fire department.

The typhoon, the world's most powerful this year, continued to lash Hong Kong with wind and rain on Wednesday, forcing the cancellation of more than 700 flights.
