Construction firm 'inspired to act' after TV story

Construction company bosses say they were inspired by a BBC North West Tonight report to "break down the stereotype" that their trade "was only for men".

A report found girls growing up in the Lancashire seaside resort faced some of the toughest challenges in the UK.

Those taking part in the skills session, all aged between 16 and 20, met female professionals to learn more about the industry.
