The woman who stopped a pile-up on the M25

Marie-Therese Gumpert potentially saved the lives of 25 American exchange students by springing into action to stop the bus they were travelling in when the driver suffered a heart attack on the M25.

The bus, which was headed to London, was stopped on the hard shoulder and did not hit any other vehicles. The driver died at the scene.

Marie-Therese has been nominated for a BBC Radio London Make a Difference award.
