Former homeless man becomes city centre tour guide

A former homeless man who now takes tourists on guided tours of his home city has said his change in fortunes shows he was "capable of doing something constructive" once given the opportunity.

Andy has been showing visitors around Manchester for the past four years, as part of the walking tour group Invisible Cities.

He used to spend nights on the streets after getting into "a really bad spot".

He said the experience was "horrible", but added he "wouldn't have been where I am" without it.
