Anas Sarwar responds to council leader allegations
The leader of the Scottish Labour Party has said the party took "immediate actions" on learning of allegations of inappropriate behaviour by the leader of Edinburgh City Council.
Anas Sarwar told BBC Scotland's The Sunday Show that Cammy Day has been suspended pending the outcome of a police investigation into the claims.
According to the Sunday Mail, external, Cllr Day "bombarded Ukrainian refugees" with messages.
The newspaper alleges he asked them sexually explicit questions, tried to meet them for wine dates and complimented them on their looks.
