A documentary filmed in the New Lodge area of Belfast has introduced the “walking wounded” of post-conflict Northern Ireland to international audiences.
Seven years in the making, The Flats has won big at several film festivals.

Filmed in one of Northern Ireland’s most deprived neighbourhoods, New Lodge, the multi-award winning feature follows local man Joe McNally as he grapples with the legacy of the political violence he was born into.
