'We see illegal e-bikes going 40mph on pavements'
Police Scotland seized almost 300 dangerous e-bikes between January and September 2024, according to figures obtained by BBC Scotland News.
Officers say they are increasingly being called out to dangerous driving incidents in city centres, often involving illegally-modified vehicles.
Insp Hugh Niccolls of Police Scotland's road policing unit showed a number of seized bikes stored at a warehouse in Glasgow.
