Mum says having a stroke gave her a new outlook

Angharad Dennis, who had a stroke in March, said she has found it difficult to explain to her six-year-old daughter what happened.

“When she falls over, she gets a plaster. How can I explain you can’t put a plaster on your brain?” said Ms Dennis, 32, from Swansea.

Around 7,000 people have a stroke each year in Wales, according to the Stroke Association.

Ms Dennis said, despite the challenges, her stroke had given her a fresh outlook on life.
