Watch: Ice cream, sun and fun as heatwave hits
People were out enjoying the sun on what could be Wales' hottest day of the year so far.
It meant the ice cream vendors on Coney beach in Porthcawl, Bridgend county, were doing a steady trade.
It was a relief for one seller, who said: "It's nice to see a bit of sunshine down here, we don't see it a lot to be honest, especially this year."
Temperatures in parts of mid, south and east Wales were set to reach 26C (79F) in some parts, with more good weather to come.
